Dr. Wang Suk Mei

Scientist

Suk Mei joined Dx assays as a Scientist in 2011. She is currently leading a project involving the feasibility study, validation and development of a HIV assay integrated onto the companion automated diagnostic sample preparation and detection system targeted for US market. During the course of the project, she is responsible to conduct regular meetings with clients to present findings for decision making and to meet specific timelines.

She completed her undergraduate study with honours at the University Putra of Malaysia in 1998. Since then, she joined National Cancer Center Singapore, working closely with surgical oncologist to conduct research on molecular pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcnoma by using genome wide expression profiling platform and mouse orthotopic liver model

In 2011, she obtained her PhD at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Her PhD research enabled the discovery of a novel molecular signature related to GTPase activity pertubation using microarray and proteomic tools that prognosticates post-surgical recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma with high accuracy at point of diagnosis.

She enjoys reading, travelling and gardening at her leisure.
